25th Anniversary of 9/11: Tower for Humanity Build

Join the Tower for Humanity team at the Micronesia Mall Center Court on Saturday, August 29, 2026, as the Aydlett Brothers begin construction of their largest community build to date—a 25-foot replica of New York City’s World Trade Center Twin Towers made from more than 100,000 toy timber logs.

Created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, this ninth Tower for Humanity project is dedicated to remembering those whose lives were lost and honoring first responders and others who serve their communities. The North Tower will reach approximately 25 feet to the tip of its spire, making this the Tower Team’s most ambitious project yet.

Construction begins at 10AM on August 29 and will continue during regular Mall hours, with completion targeted for September 9 ahead of the 25th Anniversary ceremony on September 10, 2026. Mall visitors are invited to watch the towers take shape—and members of the community are welcome to volunteer and help build, especially from August 29 through September 6.

The project is also a building for a cause. Throughout its time at Micronesia Mall, Tower for Humanity will help raise awareness and support for Hunger Action Month and National Preparedness Month. Visitors can also participate by sponsoring a log, making a donation, or contributing canned food to the 4th Annual Cans for Humanity Food Drive, benefiting Be Heartfelt’s programs serving children throughout Guam, the CNMI, Palau and beyond. Canned food donations will be accepted at Micronesia Mall from August 29 through October 11.

The completed Twin Towers display is scheduled to remain at the Mall through September 20, with additional Tower for Humanity activities taking place throughout September and October.

Come by Center Court, see this one-of-a-kind community project come to life, learn more about the causes it supports, and help build a better Guam—one block at a time.
